TCM begins the new year with several Peter Lorre movies.

Voyage to
the Bottom of the Sea (1961).
Jan 5 (Mon), 4 pm, TCM –
Meet Me in Las Vegas
(1956). The daytime theme is "Betting Big", including this tale
of a rancher (Dan Daily) and a ballerina (Cyd Charisse) who
find romance in Las Vegas over the roulette tables and casinos.
Jan 7 (Wed), 4:15 pm, TCM –
The Conspirators
(1944). The daytime theme is "Secret Agents", including two of
Peter Lorre's spy thrillers back-to-back.
Jan 7 (Wed), 6 pm, TCM –
Confidential Agent
(1945). The daytime theme is "Secret Agents", with the second
of two Lorre spy thrillers.
Jan 115 (Thurs), 9:30 am, Talking Pictures TV – British television

Double Confession (1950).
Jan 23 (Fri), 10 pm, TCM –
Casablanca (1942).
The primetime theme is "Flashback Friday", and tonight the emphasis
is on "Romance", including the classic wartime drama considered
one of the greatest romantic movies in film history.
Jan 26 (Mon), 12 midnight, TCM –
The Maltese Falcon
(1941). Guest programmer Michael Kalish joins TCM host Dave Karger
for an evening of movies that have inspired Kalish as an artist, and
one of his creations is a portrait of Humphrey Bogart.
Jan 30 (Fri), 11:25 am, Fox Movie Channel –
Voyage to
the Bottom of the Sea (1961).
Sneak Peek at February, 2026
In February, TCM's Star of the Month is Bugs Bunny! And every Tuesday
will feature some of the animated Bugs' greatest cartoons.
Feb 3 (Tues), TCM – "Hair-Raising Hare" (1946) Bugs Bunny encounters
a mad scientist who looks like Peter Lorre.
Many of these and other Lorre movies and television programs are now
available on DVD and Blu-Ray – many remastered and packaged with
