TCM's annual salute to movies nominated for or winning Academy Awards includes a couple of Lorre films – and the Talking Pictures channel has scheduled a new Peter Lorre documentary.
Mar 1 (Sun), 6:15 am, TCM – Hollywood Canteen (1944). It's Day 17 of the "31 Days of Oscar", and the theme is "Oscar Goes Dancing" with a day of musicals, including the all-star extravaganza about the real-life Hollywood Canteen.
Mar 3 (Tues), 8 pm, TCM – Around the World in 80 Days (1956). It's Day 19 of the "31 Days of Oscar", and the theme is "Oscar Goes On a Trip" with an evening of films involving travel, including the all-star extravaganza about the Victorian gentleman who bets his club members he can circumnavigate the world in 80 days.
Mar 5 (Thurs), 9:50 am, Movies! Network – The Verdict (1946).
Mar 8 (Sun), 8 pm, Movies! Network – The Verdict (1946).
Mar 11 (Wed), 4 pm, TCM – Meet Me in Las Vegas (1956). It's Day 27 of the "31 Days of Oscar", and the daytime theme is "Oscar Goes to the City" with a day of films with a city name in their titles, including this musical set in the gambling capital of Las Vegas.
Mar 12 (Thurs), 6 pm, Movies! Network – The Verdict (1946).
Mar 19 (Thurs), 11:20 pm, Movies! Network – The Verdict (1946).
Mar 26 (Thurs), 4:30 pm, Talking Pictures TV, British Television – Peter Lorre: Behind the Mask (2024). Directed by Evelyn Schels, this documentary discusses the life and career of Peter Lorre, through interviews with his biographer Stephen D. Youngkin, as well as film and theater scholars.
Mar 28 (Sat), 6 pm, TCM – Passage to Marseille (1944). Saturday host Dave Karger ends the day with the World War II drama involving French convicts escaping the penal colony in French Guiana to fight for their country.

Apr 2 (Thurs), TCM – To Be Announced. The daytime theme is "Spies of WWII" – and some of Peter's espionage movies might be included.
