This month, TCM celebrates a couple of special birthdays – Claude Rains and Ronald Colman – including some Lorre movies.
Nov 4 (Tues), 9 am, Talking Pictures, British television channel – The Chase (1946).
Nov 6 (Thurs), 6 pm, TCM – The Big Circus (1959). The daytime theme is "Big Top Tales" with a day of movies involving circuses, including this Irwin Allen extravaganza with Peter Lorre as Skeeter the clown.
Nov 7 (Fri), 6 am, Movies! Network – Quicksand (1950).
Nov 7 (Fri), 4:15 am, TCM – The Maltese Falcon (1941). The primetime theme is "Objects of Desire", including the jewel-encrusted golden statuette called The Maltese Falcon.
Nov 10 (Mon), 12:15 pm, TCM – Passage to Marseille (1944). TCM celebrates the birthday of Claude Rains with a day of movies starring Rains, including two he made with Peter Lorre.
Nov 10 (Mon), 4 pm, TCM – Casablanca (1942). TCM continues their celebration of Claude Rains' birthday.
Nov 12 (Wed), 2:45 pm, TCM – Background to Danger (1943). The TCM daytime theme is "Noir Abroad" with a day of movies involving spies and European drama, including back-to-back Lorre movies, starting with the only film Peter made with George Raft.
Nov 12 (Wed), 4:15 pm, TCM – Passage to Marseille (1944). The Lorre double-feature concludes with drama at sea and a mutiny aboard a tramp steamer on its way to Marseille, France, from French Guiana in South America.
Nov 17 (Mon), 6 pm, TCM – M (1931). The TCM daytime theme is "Man Hunt Monday", including Peter's first sound movie in which he plays a child murderer hunted down by both law enforcement and the criminal underworld.
Nov 20 (Thurs), 1:05 pm, Talking Pictures, British television channel – Beat the Devil (1954).
Nov 20 (Thurs), 4:30 pm, TCM – All Through the Night (1942). TCM celebrates director Vincent Sherman with a day of movies, including the only film in which he directed Peter Lorre.
Sneak Peek at December, 2025
December brings the year of 2025 to a close with just a handful of Lorre movies.
Dec 5 (Fri), TCM – Silk Stockings (1957).
Dec 18 (Thurs), TCM – The Story of Mankind (1957).
