The Maltese Falcon at the Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse, Mar. 22, 2014

As part of their “March Investigation into Cinematic Crime”, the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz will present The Maltese Falcon (1941) on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Austin, Texas.

The film will begin at 4:05 pm. Cinemagoers are welcome to arrive 45 minutes before the start of the movie and enjoy drinks and appetizers, as well as the preshow, which includes vintage cartoons and shorts.

Admission is $7.75 for Reserved, and $35.50 for the Balcony Package. The Balcony Package includes two tickets in the balcony section, plus a free parking voucher for the St. David’s parking garage, located at 8th and Trinity streets.

Tickets may be purchased from the Ritz box office, which opens 45 minutes before all scheduled show times. Tickets may also be purchased on-line through the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz website. Austin, Texas, Film Noir Fest Includes 2 Lorre Films

The Alamo Drafthouse Ritz will host the first ever Film Noir festival in Austin, Texas, the weekend of March 1 and 2, 2014 – and Lorre fans attending the fest can catch a double-feature of Three Strangers (1945) and The Chase (1946) on Sunday, March 2.

The festival is in cooperation with the Film Noir Foundation, which hosts annual Noir Festivals all across the United States.

Three Strangers will begin at 4:50 pm. The Chase will begin at 9:50 pm. Both films will be shown in Theater 1.
