Admission is $10 for all seats, and $8 for Lark members. Tickets may be purchased at the box office. Tickets may also be purchased online through the Lark’s website. A nominal fee will be added to each ticket purchased online.
The Lark Theater is located at 549 Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur, California, in Marin County.
Parking is available in the public parking lot on Magnolia Avenue, across the street from the Lark.
The Lark Theater ends the film noir festival with a showing of The Cheap Detective (1978), an homage to classic films such as The Maltese Falcon (1941) and Casablanca (1942) – starring Peter Falk as Lou Peckinpaugh, imitating Humphrey Bogart.
Also in the cast are Dom DeLuis as Pepe Damascas, whose curly dark hair, wheezy laugh, and strong perfume are reminiscent of Peter Lorre as Joel Cairo in The Maltese Falcon, and the rotund John Houseman as Jasper Blubber, parodying Sydney Greenstreet.
A fun ending to a week of the dark and sinister. Happy viewing!
