Restored Lorre Film at New York’s Metrograph

As part of their Sunday afternoon series “Old and Improved”, the Metrograph will present a restored print of Peter Lorre’s version of Crime and Punishment (1935) on Sunday, April 3, 2016. The restoration is courtesy of the Library of Congress.

The program will begin at 1 pm.

Admission for this matinee is $12 for all seats. Tickets may be purchased at the Metrograph box office 30 minutes before the first movie’s show-time. Tickets may also be purchased through the venue's website.

The “Old and Improved” Film Festival will run every Sunday from March 20 to April 24, 2016. The complete schedule is available on the Metrograph’s website.

The Metrograph is located at 7 Ludlow Street, in the Lower East Side of New York City, New York. The area was once a major hub of movie-going in the early part of the twentieth century.

The Metrograph is served by several subway trains – the “F” train to East Broadway and the “B” and “D” trains to Grand Street. Some parking is available on the streets near the theater.
