In “Peter Lorre: Master of Menace”, Karie and Dawn will discuss the actor’s background in horror films, as well as the man behind the image.

The event will begin at 12 noon on Sunday, May 31, the final day of Monsterpalooza.

The three-day Monsterpalooza will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center, located at 300 East Green Street in Pasadena, California. The convention begins on Friday, May 29, and runs until Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Tickets may be purchased online through the Monsterpalooza website, as well as at the door of the convention center. One-day only tickets are available for each day – $42.91 for Friday; $55 for Saturday; and $50 for Sunday. A three-day ticket is also available for $96.54.

Since 2009, Monsterpalooza has been entertaining horror fans with actors and others involved in the horror genre, photo opportunities, autograph sessions, makeup demos, talks and presentations.

Among the events this year are talks on The Wizard of Oz, Night of the Living Dead, “The Makeup of Weapons”, “Dracula and Frankenstein Turn 95!”, and many more. And the guests attending this year include actor Paul Williams, Katey Sagal, singer Alice Cooper, and Lynne Lugosi Sparks, granddaughter of Bela Lugosi. The full list of events and guests are available on the Monsterpalooza website.

In addition to her Lorre presentation, Karie will host a night-time guided tour of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery – the final resting place of Peter Lorre, as well as many other actors and behind-the-scenes film folks. Space is limited, and advance reservations are required through the cemetery's website.

Karie Bible has also invited fans into her “Hollywood Kitchen”, where she and her guests – film history expert Danny Miller Classic Film Club co-creator Ruth Mundsack – cooked up Peter’s favorite recipe, “Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes." Midway through the program, Lorre biographer Stephen D. Youngkin joined Karie by Zoom for a conversation about Peter’s life and career. This program may be viewed on both the Hollywood Kitchen website and the Hollywood Kitchen YouTube channel.
