Lorre Classics at British Film Institute

The British Film Institute celebrates their magazine Sight and Sound’s “Greatest Films of All Time” with special showings of two Peter Lorre classic movies – Casablanca (1942) and M (1931) at the BFI Southbank, located in London, England.

Casablanca, number 63 on the list, will be shown the following dates and times ~
  • Monday, February 6, 2023 – 8:30 pm
  • Sunday, February 12, 2023 – 1:20 pm
  • Tuesday, February 14, 2023 – 2:30 pm
M, number 36 on the list, will be shown on these dates and times ~
  • Thursday, February 16, 2023 – 8:40 pm
  • Wednesday, February 22, 2023 – 6 pm
Admission is open to non-members of the BFI, as well as members. Ticket buyers may choose to purchase a “Gift Aid” ticket, which will contribute 10% of the ticket price to the work of the BFI.

Non “Gift Aid” tickets are available at the following prices. Evening and weekend prices are £10.50 for BFI members, £12.50 for non-members, and £3 for children 16 and under. For senior citizens (age 60 and above), students, unwaged and disabled visitors who are also BFI members, admission is £8.20, and for non-members £10.20.

Tickets may be purchased through the BFI box office, located in the main foyer. Tickets may also be purchased online through the BFI website. Click the “Buy” button beside the date and time of choice on either the Casablanca or the M page. Non-members will be charged a per-ticket booking fee of £1 for each ticket sold, to a maximum of £3 per transaction.

The BFI Southbank is located on Belvedere Road, on the South Bank of the Thames in London, England. Directions to the BFI are available on the cinema’s website.

Parking is available at the National Theatre, and the APCOA South Bank. The BFI is also well served by public transportation. The closest underground station is Waterloo. Exit Waterloo by the South Bank exit. More information about public transportation is available on the venue’s website.
