- Sunday, June 16 – 2 pm and 7:30 pm
Casablanca, as well as all other movies in the summer series, will be shown at the historic Ohio Theatre, located at 39 East State Street, between South 3rd and South High streets, in Columbus, Ohio.
Parking is available in the underground parking lot below the Columbus Statehouse, located at 1 Capitol Square. The Columbus Statehouse is located directly across the street from the Ohio Theatre. The CAPA Summer Movie Series begins Friday, June 14, and runs until Sunday, August 11, 2019. All films in the series will be shown at the Ohio Theatre. The complete schedule is available on the CAPA website.
Also in celebration of CAPA’s 50th year of summer classic films, student filmmakers at the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) will present their film, video, and animation shorts every Sunday of the festival before both the 2 pm and the 7:30 pm showings.
Interested in a look behind-the-scenes of the Ohio Theatre? On selected Saturdays, beginning June 15, CAPA will offer free hour-long guided tours, complete with a light show and organ demonstration by Clark Wilson on the “Mighty Morton” theatre organ. The tours begin at 4 pm. Space is limited, and reservations are required. More information is available on the CAPA website.
“Summer Movie Series” ticket strips are now available for the 2019 summer series. A strip of 10 tickets may be purchased for $30 – a savings of $2 per ticket – at the CAPA Ticket Center or through the Ticketmaster website. Ticket Strips may also be ordered by phone – 614-469-0939.
