July brings many Peter Lorre movies on the Turner Classic Movies channel, as well as other channels.

All times shown are Eastern Standard.

July 15 (Fri), 4 pm, TCM – The Big Circus (1959). The TCM daytime theme is "Send in the Clowns", including The Big Circus, in which Peter plays "Skeeter the Clown".

July 17 (Sun), 9 am, Family Entertainment TV channel (FETV) – Wagon Train, "The Alexander Portlass Story" (NBC, Mar. 16, 1960).

July 19 (Tues), 4:45 pm, TCM – Around the World in 80 Days (1956). "Based on Jules Verne" is the daytime theme, including the all-star globe-trotting extravaganza about the Victorian gentleman (David Niven) who bets he can travel around the world in 80 days.

July 22 (Fri), 7:40 am, Fox Movie Channel – Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961)

July 23 (Sat), 6 am, Fox Movie Channel – Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961)

July 24 (Sun), 2:05 pm, Movies! Network – Around the World in 80 Days (1956).

July 26 (Tues), 12:15 pm, TCM – Stranger on the Third Floor (1940). "Stranger Danger" is the daytime theme for a day of movies involving strangers, including Peter Lorre as the title character in this early film noir picture.

July 30 (Sat), 12:15 am, Canadian TCM – You'll Find Out (1940). Lorre fans in Canada get a musical treat when Eddie Muller presents this Kay Kyser horror-romp in place of Raw Deal (1948) on Noir Alley.

July 31 (Sun), 10 am pm, Canadian TCM – You'll Find Out (1940). Missed Noir Alley on Saturday night? The feature is repeated Sunday morning.


Sneak Peek at August, 2022

TCM presents its annual "Summer Under the Stars" festival, and although Peter is not given a "Day", some of the actors he worked with will be honored.
