Berkeley Venue Presents Fritz Lang Fest

The Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, also known as BAMPFA, takes a look at the work of German director Fritz Lang in the series “Fritz Lang and German Expressionism”, which began on Dec. 7, 2018, and continues to Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019.

A digitally restored print of M (1931) will be shown at 2 pm on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, and 8 pm on Friday, Feb. 8.

Tickets for the “Fritz Lang” series are $13 for General Admission; $8 for BAMPFA members; $5 for Cal Students; and $9 for Seniors (age 65 and older), non-Cal students, youth (age 18 and under), Cal faculty and staff, and disabled patrons. Tickets may be purchased at the BAMPFA box-office. Tickets may also be purchased on-line through the BAMPFA website.

M will also be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at 3:10 pm, as part of the series “In Focus: Writing for Cinema”, which began Wednesday, Jan. 16 and will continue to Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019. Film historian David Thomson and author Michael Ondaatje will lead a discussion following the screening.

Ticket prices for the “Writing for Cinema” screening are $15 for General Admission; $11 for BAMPFA members; $7 for Cal students; and $12 for Seniors (age 65 and older), non-Cal students, youth (age 18 and under), Cal faculty and staff, and disabled patrons. Tickets may be purchased at the BAMPFA box-office, as well as on-line through the BAMPFA website.
