German Film Fest Ends With Lorre Classic

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the German American Heritage Center, located in Davenport, Iowa, will conclude its five-film series “The Lost Years of German Cinema: 1948-1963” with a screening of Peter Lorre’s sole directorial effort Der Verlorene (The Lost One, 1951).

As with the other movies in the series, Der Verlorene will be shown at The Last Picture House, located in Davenport, Iowa.

The program begins at 6 pm. Following Der Verlorene, Dr. Lisa Seidlitz will host a discussion of the film and the actors.

Admission is $15 for General Admission; $12 for GHAC Museum members; and $12 for LPH Autograph Club members. Tickets may be purchased online through the German American Heritage website. A nominal fee will be added to each ticket purchased online.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support programs at the German American Heritage Center.

The Last Picture House is located at 325 East Second Street in Davenport, Iowa.
